Carissa "C-Ram" Ramseier

Certified Veterinary Technician/Food Guru/Flamingo

Carissa is originally from Augusta, WI.  After graduating from MATC (Madison Area Technical College) in 1996, she has worked as certified veterinary technician ever since.  Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is client education because she says she's getting to old to be a tech. She has been working up front in reception often as well, again, too old to tech. (#almost50) Carissa currently lives in Cadott, WI on a dairy farm with her husband and her three boys.  She shares her home with her dogs, Moe B, Odette, and Elody as well as four cats, one rabbit, and like ten thousand chickens. 

You can easily find her by following the sound of the whistle, her laugh explosion, or by looking for the Royal Canin food order. 

Sue "Sue-Ba-Lou" Kohlhepp

Professional Groomer

Sue is originally from Eau Claire, WI.  She started grooming at the age of 14, volunteering 2 years to learn the trade.  She groomed in Rice Lake starting out and then was self employed for many years working out of her home.  In 1990 she moved to an Eau Claire veterinary clinic as their staff groomer.  She offers hand scissoring, stripping, working with hard to handle dogs and educating owners how to care for their pets at home.   Sue lives with her husband Chuck and her golden retrievers Crosby and Cheer.  They raise golden retrievers for conformation, showing, obedience, rally and AKC hunt testing.

 Krystal "Krystal Pistol" Spaeth

Certified Veterinary Technician/Lover of Goldens

Krystal grew up on a dairy farm in Eleva, WI but attended Eau Claire schools.  She was an elementary school teacher for 6 years but decided to follow her passion for helping animals and graduated from Globe University in 2016 from the Veterinary Technology program.  Krystal has a special interest in geriatric care, anesthesia, dentistry, golden retrievers, puppies, dogs, and client education.  She currently lives in Eau Claire with her husband, Rob, her daughter, Shayla, and her four Golden Retrievers, Emma, Liam, Kahlua, and Saffron.  She works at Bob's House for Dogs on the weekends and also does pet sitting in her spare time. If she ain't crocin' she ain't rockin'.

She can be found in literally any room there is a golden in. Or on the ground. Again, with a golden (or puppy).

Jessica "Jeeeessssssssicaaaaaaa Jess-A-Roo" Johnson

Customer Service Representative/Weenie Queenie/Clinic Mom

Jessica originally grew up on a dairy farm in Colfax, WI. She was in the dental field for 12 years before joining the Riverview team in February 2021. She currently resides with her husband Bill and the four weens- Ziggy, Zuri, Zylee, and Zada. Jessica has four sons and two grandkids. Her favorite activities outside of work include spending time with her family and doing anything in the sunshine!

She is best known for always smelling very pleasant. She especially enjoys anytime a Dachshund comes in! As the "work mom" she has special talents in wrangling all of us hoodlums for potlucks, gift exchanges, and meetings. Also, her cookies are the bomb dot com. 

Shelby "Shelbasaur" Ponick

Certified Veterinary Technician/Lover of Fat Orange Cats

Shelby is originally from Bloomer, WI. She graduated from WITCs Veterinary Nursing Program and became a certified veterinary technician in the summer of 2021. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2011 and also grew up on a dairy farm. Shelby has special interests in surgery and dentistry as well as client education. You can probably find her by following the sounds of her coworkers cackling. She currently lives in Chippewa Falls with her husband, Greg, their son Cam, their dog, Leni, and their cat, Peter. Her favorite things to do outside of work include hiking, thrifting, and rewatching sitcoms.

She enjoys making questionable comments and running to the treatment room to crylaugh. Frequently asked to repeat the comments for maximum comedic effect. 

Britni "Stuart Forks Rocketship" Spooner

Britni was born and raised in Chippewa Falls, WI. She currently resides with her dog Ruth, and cats Kenobi and Whiskey. She enjoys walking with Ruth and taking roadtrips to find new places to hike.

She calls herself a social media manager (no one said so but no one specifically told her not to call herself that ). Pretends to do IT work with this website (haa). Probably grumpy. 

She's probably throwing snacks at someone. Or under the door. 

Laurie "Lawrence" Hintz

Certified Veterinary Technician

Laurie graduated from MATC and became a CVT in 1999. She recently moved back to the area with her husband, Troy. She loves spending time with her horses, cats, dogs, family, and friends. She also enjoys starting horses and fostering kittens. She enjoys several outdoor activities, but also enjoys indoor activities such as cooking. She has special interests in dental procedures, lab work, and behavioral concerns in cats. Let's be honest. No one knows "Laurie," they know "Lawrence." Gives off big meow vibes. 

Morgan "Moregano Morganis Morgatron Giggles Morgan Edwin Smorgasbord" Gilbert

Veterinary Assistant/Laugh Track

Morgan is a student UW-River Falls doing her undergraduate pre-vet work in anticipation of attending Veterinary School. She joined Riverview in June of 2021 as an apprentice to gain experience in the work field and realized her love and passion for working with animals everyday. She mostly enjoys working with Oko, tbh. Practically a vet at this point. Paw prints, they are prime. She currently lives with her parents Brian and Sarah, her brother Mason, and her dogs Max and Ruby. Weirdly obsessed with Christmas but can bake Betty Crocker under the tree so we can't complain.

Haley "Hashbrowns" Makemson

Veterinary Assistant/Small Dog Aficianado/Hashbrown Enthusiast/Madahlynne

Haley was born in Lacrosse, WI and raised in Chippewa Falls, WI. She currently lives in Cadott, WI. She has two children, Luca and Leo, two cats, Daphne and Auggie and two dogs, Nelly and Josie. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors and being a mom. Her favorite part of the job is getting to know the animals and the clients. Identifies as a Christmas tree with the hair tinsel probably. V festive. Can be found flying through Mickey D's for them crispy #browns in the AM.

Nora "Noradopolis" Beving

Nora is originally from Wisconsin but has spent the past 36 years living in Iowa where she grew up working the family farm and attending school/college.  She has traveled throughout the country training and showing horses, competing in various dog sports and volunteer training service dogs for various organizations. Nora enjoys hiking and kayaking with her trusted fox red labrador, Frances. She recently moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to family and currently resides in Chippewa Falls with her three dogs, three cats, and two rats. She loves sunflowers and getting absurd amounts of tea for Christmas. 

Amanda "Everybody Say AYYY OHHHH" Olson

Amanda grew up in Mondovi, WI. She is a graduate of Globe University-Eau Claire Campus with an Associate’s degree in Animal Science in 2011. She absolutely loves her job and being able to surround herself with what she loves- animals! She lives near Mondovi with her husband, Derek, and two children, Damian and Adalynn. She enjoys the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, boating, along with lots of campfires. She has four dogs, Laila, Gus, Frankie, and Bob and four cats, Whippy, Duchess, Diego, and Hera. We are probably missing one or seven animals. Who knows. Maybe a hamster. She treats every patient as her own and couldn’t imagine life without a pet!
